DIRECTIONS TO US

DRIVING:  From San Jose, the shortest route is the Panamerican-Costanera route, but there are three routes that can be taken, described below.

Panamerican-Costanera:  Take the Panamerican Highway (Hwy 2) from San Jose to San Isidro Perez Zeledon.  This leg of the trip is approximately 3-4 hours to reach San Isidro Perez Zeledon.  When in San Isidro Perez Zeledon, make a right at the MacDonald’s and take that street straight down and it will turn into the Dominical Highway.  Take that for approximately 45 minutes to the end and turn left onto the Costanera Highway.  Drive through Dominical, Uvita, until you reach the Panamerican Highway at Palmar Norte. It will take approximately 40 minutes to get to this point.  Take a right at the Panamerican Highway over the Rio Terraba bridge and take that for approximately 1 hour to Rio Claro and make a right.  Take that road all the way to Golfito to the Pacifica Sur Gas Station (the only gas station there) and make a right.  Take that road all the way down and just before the end of the street, we are on the right hand side in a light olive green office.  We are located in the “Pueblo Civil” (downtown Golfito) on the right hand side, above “Celulares David” Shortest route if coming directly from San Jose to Golfito.

Panamerican:  Take the Panamerican Highway (Hwy 2) from San Jose to San Isidro and pass through it.  Do not turn anywhere just keep going straight through and pass Buenos Aires until you reach Palmar Norte and continue straight going over Terraba River bridge and take that for approximately 1 hour to Rio Claro and make a right.  Take that road all the way to Golfito (approximately 30 minutes) to the Pacifica Sur Gas Station (the only gas station in Golfito) and make a right.  Take that road all the way down and just before the end of the street, we are on the right hand side in a light olive green office.  We are located in the “Pueblo Civil” (downtown Golfito) on the right hand side, above “Celulares David  The most direct route to take but you tack on about 1 hour to your trip.

Costanera:  Take the Puntarenas highway west past the airport and pick up the Jacó exit and from the coast, pick up the Costanera.  Be prepared for abysmal road conditions between Quepos and Dominical, but the road is excellent from Dominical all the way to Palmar Norte veer right and you are on the Panamerican highway. Go through the Terraba bridge and take that for approximately 1 hour to Rio Claro and make a right.  Take that road all the way to Golfito (approximately 30 minutes) to the Pacifica Sur Gas Station (the only gas station in Golfito) and make a right.  Take that road all the way down and just before the end of the street, we are on the right hand side in a light olive green office.  We are located in the “Pueblo Civil” (downtown Golfito) on the right hand side, above “Celulares David.”
