Our Costa Rica Real Estate company is a proud member of the first Costa Rica MLS system implemented in Costa Rica.
What does this mean to you? This means that you are guaranteed to get proper representation in the real estate field. Members of the Tierra Max MLS stand out from the rest. Real estate is not a regulated profession in Costa Rica and being a member of the Tierra Max MLS is not a requirement by Costa Rica. There are no requirements to be a real estate agent in Costa Rica.
Members of the Tierra Max MLS system are:
- Bound by a Code of Ethics and a 75 page Rules and Real Estate Regulations book.
- The Code of Ethics is enforced via arbitration which means if you have any problem with your affiliated member of the Tierra Max MLS, you go to arbitration and have the matter resolved in months as opposed to years within the Costa Rican Court System.
- Fines are applied to members that do not comply with Tierra Max’s 75 page Rules and Regulations of participation.
- Provides more exposure of properties for Sellers and Buyers
- Members of the Tierra Max MLS are required to take courses to make sure that they are educated and knowledgeable about every legal aspect of real estate transactions in Costa Rica
- Members are required to take 2 courses yearly to keep up with changes in Costa Rican real estate laws.
